ABOUT THE PROJECT

What is the link between Gender and Ecology ?

Gaïa is a travelling eco-exhibition that explores the relation between Gender and Ecology throughout a selection of 28 international artists.

Whether we called her Terra Mater, Pachamama or Gaïa, a female Earth figure is present in the origin tales from many civilizations. From this observation, a community of artists question the contemporaneity of this ancestral myth.

The project has been curated for the City of Paris during Cop21. It has evolved in a collaboration with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology for a study that investigates the capacity from an artwork related to climate change to raise awareness in audiences.
